today that I am writing this post I have exactly 2 month left until I leave. Just thought I would mention it, because I’ve been realizing this In the last few days and it made me kind of sad. I love this life here and thinking about not being here anymore is just kind of weird.
Okay, now I’ll stop complaining, because I am beyond thankful to experience all that, even if I am sad that it’s over soon; better than not experiencing it. Being sad also means I am enjoying and loving it and it’s going to be hard to say goodbye to this amazing lifestyle, friends and people who have become family but it is definitely worth it.
Sooo, what’s been going on this month? – to talk about some good stuff.
I planted trees:). It doesn’t sound rather exciting but I am actually really proud of it. It’s Cedar trees, so it’s going to be more like a hedge in a few years but it’s trees, so at least something.
The best thing that happened this month was Easter. I loooove Easter! I don’t even really know why but Easter just makes me feel good and very happy. I got a really unexpected parcel from my family with tons of chocolate, a few gifts and lovely notes (thanks again fam, I love you all so much). I attended a Good Friday Church service and it was actually in the gym in my school, because we were so many people. That service was very good and really touched me, but the Easter Sunday one was even better. Everyone is just so happy and filled with gratitude, maybe that is why I love Easter so much, because it really makes you realize again what you believe for.
On the Saturday between Good Friday and Easter Sunday my friends and me did an Easter brunch and everybody baked something and we had lots of food and a lot of fun. Afterwards my friend’s host family took us all to a beach, we went there by boat and were just lying on the beach in the sun. On those days I don’t think about anything and I am really able to enjoy the moment, which I appreciate a lot. Just shutting off my brain, spending time with friends and lying in the sun with a breeze in my face and the noise of the waves in my ears. I am so thankful that I can do that kind of stuff at the moment!
On the weekend I did a beachfire with my friends, which was super nice as well. The sky was clear so we could see a lot of stars (which makes everything 1000 times better anyways;), ate s’mores and just had a very good time.
Now that the weather is getting better again, I am looking forward to spending a lot of time at my favourite spot here, the marina. I spent a lot of time there during the winter, but it is a thousand times better when it’s warm and sunny.
I hope you all have a great may!
Have a nice day & smile a lot!
