I really lost my sense of time. Although february is the shortest month, it really stretched and felt super long. I don’t even know why, but the beginning of the month just feels ages away. It may be because of the snowdays and the long weekend we got, or maybe it’s just me and my weird head.
Speaking of snowdays. It was snowing so much that we didn’t have to go to school:)! That was super nice! We got two days off and I really was just lying in my bed not doing anything, because I was a little sick, and then I also hung out with friends and my host sister but most of the time I was at home. I really love spending time at home but at some point I need to go out and do something, so it was kind of sad that we „only“ got two days off but also kind of good just to have something to do.
I had a sleepover with a few friends which was a tone of fun! We took pictures and baked and watched a movie and just laughed a lot. On the next day I went for a walk with one of them and it was amazing! She lives in the forest near the beach and the sun was shining and there was still snow and it was so relaxing. I can’t stop talking about how much I love sunny walks, especially when they start in the forest and end at the beach;). It makes me so happy to walk in the sun, chat with a friend or just being lost in my thoughts. I really learned to appreciate nature here so much, and the privilege to go out and to already be right in the middle of nature without having to drive anywhere far, to get to a forest or beach. That’s such a luxury and I can’t say how thankful I am for that!
Same as in the last few month I snowboarded and last Sunday I had the best snowboard day ever. The weather was awesome and there had been new snow and so the conditions were perfect. I had asked my host dad the Sunday before for tips and so this Sunday I was so much better than before:). I even got some jumps! They were tiny little mini jumps but for me it is a miracle that I even landed some.
I also snowboarded through a forest part, together with my host sister, and I can’t describe the feeling of being in the forest with full sunshine, blue sky and a snowboard. It just makes me feel so happy! I love all of those things and so the combination was perfect!
The weather is getting better and better and so I am really hoping for a nice March!
Have a nice day & smile a lot!
